Fox News did a special report on Lazzara Yachts today to cover some of the recent success we’ve had in the market. We’ve certainly seen an uptick in the market the last two quarters of this year. Lazzara LSX75 in 30′ waves w/ pictures

“We left the port from Spain, probably when we shouldn’t have,and got caught in Force 9 gale storm. The waves were 7 – 10 meters (that’s 23-32) high” said Captain Tristan from M/Y Lizzi. So as he told me this story I thought to myself yeah yeah Ive heard that before. The waves are always bigger when the story is told then what they actually were. I thought to myself I’m sure he’s exaggerating. That was until he sent me these pictures. He also said “not one thing whatsoever broke on the her either.” I know we build a great boat and its moments like this that I’m grateful we do.

Canne Boat Show, getting ready

It’s that time of the year again. The 2009 Cannes Boat Show is from Sept 9 -14th. We will be displaying our LSX75 at slip JAN019 and if your in the area feel free to stop by for a tour. I can tell you that the participation of manufactuers and vendors does not appear to be down when compared to the last several years. With the economies impact on our industry I had expected to see less participation, smaller displays, etc. However that doesnt seem to be the case. I will post some updates from time to time on our Twitter account HERE and our Facebook account HERE.

In the meantime enjoy some quick photos HERE I took of the LSX moving into the show yesterday.

Whats the real truth about Lazzara’s quality?

Tired of listening to me talk about how good our yachts are. Then don’t! Listen to what our owners and captains are saying. Here’s two recent emails I received that talk about the summer experience on two different LSX75’s located in the Med. Photos are from M/Y Tatami while she was in Portofino.

Hey Rich,

Hope all is well, I’m glad to hear that the market has started to pick itself back up, the 120 looks phenomenal.

As you aware this was Lizzi’s first season as a charter vessel, I have been blown away by her performance and reliability. Having worked in industry for over 6 years, I have worked on many yachts. From Ferretti to Riva, Sunseeker to Princess and many more, not one of then can compete with the lazzara 75 LSX, in both build quality and engineering.

We have managed to complete 7 weeks of charter with no problems except with the jet ski, which sunk (long story, will tell you about it at the Cannes boat show). At the end of each charter I present the client with there accounts onto a spreadsheet. Every single client turned around and said “Tristan you have made a mistake with the amount of fuel that we have consumed, it should be a lot more”. When I tell them the fuel consumption of the boat they have all been blown away and make comments like “the same size Mangusta burns twice the amount than the Lsx 75″.So they all walk away with smiles on there faces.

This season we have completed over 4500nm and we have had 0 problems with the IPS drive system. We did have to change 4 props due to an impact with what we thought was a submerged log. But we manage to change all 4 props within 2 hours because we had spare props onboard.

All the feedback from both the charter clients and charter agents has been beyond expectation, They have all be blown away by the boat and the service. The owner is thrilled with both the crew and boats performance.

We have our last charter starting tomorrow and finishing early morning on the 9th, So in the afternoon I think the owner and myself will come and visit you guys, find something to give you a hard time about.

Dear Family,

At the end of a wonderful time in Italy and France with out beloved Tatami we have been again to famous Portofino. On August 31, Tatami will be loaded for her way back to Ft. Lauderdale. We had a wonderful trouble free time in 180 hours of crusining time.

What did you do July 4th?

My family and I spent some time down in Naples for the 4th of July weekend. While on the beach awaiting the firework I looked out to see one of our LSX75’s anchored just off shore. I could hear music playing and watched as people on the boat danced and laughed all while the sun set. It’s a great feeling to see people using our yachts and having fun with them. That’s the reason we do what we do. Most the time I either see our yachts at the factory, a boat show or during sea-trials. However there’s nothing quite like seeing them out on the water, with people having fun using them. When we sit down to design and market a new yacht we try to envision what it will be like for the owner, his family and friends. What will their experience be when they are anchored offshore watching fireworks with the family. While we go through thousands of use scenarios in our minds, there is nothing like seeing, hearing and feeling the joy that someone else experiences when using something our team created. Seeing that was as good as the firework show. Speaking of which where did you watch fireworks? There is a questionnaire on the right side of the homepage, feel free to vote.

Follow The Good Life to Tennessee

We recently delivered a new LSX75 to an owner in Tennessee, overall a 1,400 NM trip over 14 days. The route we took was Lauderdale-Tampa-Panama City-Mobile-up the Tom Bigsbee River then finally up the Tennessee River to Knoxville. It was a beautiful trip that our Captain Rickard of Lazzara piloted. “Besides having to dodge the occasional trees and logs the trip was beautiful” says Capt. Rickard. “We even got the chance to see one our Lazzara 110’s up there, Seven J’s, which was a surprise”. LSX92 Virtual Tour

Virtual Tour technology has been around for awhile. However I think you will agree that the implementation, ease of navigation, voice over and complete presentation of this LSX92 tour is very well done. Vincent and his partner form Virtual Tours were responsible for doing this as well as one on the LSX92. Just one more way that Lazzara Yachts is giving the customer to see our product.
